Carla has been on the board since 2013, after moving back home to Saskatoon, after living in Baltimore and Edmonton for 12 years. She was thrilled to come back to the vibrant Saskatoon Ukrainian community; one that she remembered fondly and missed. She attended Vesna Festival for many years as a Ukrainian dancer and recalls it being a highlight of the year. Carla has been the Marketing Chair for Vesna for the past eight years and took the Chair position in 2019. Getting Vesna Festival on social media for the first time was an exciting part of the role when she first accepted the position. She looks forward to hosting a festival with the great team that has been assembled on the Board of Directors. After being involved in Ukrainian communities in other cities, Carla feels truly blessed to have such an amazing collection of talented and passionate volunteers here in Saskatoon to collaborate with.
